Back in late November Sara Lynne Schiwal and I were interviewed for a piece on Etsy for New York Magazine. Thanks for taking the time to visit a few Etsy sellers to find out the scoop. Etsy has created a space where our business and lots of other small businesses has thrived. A space that connects local small batch makers with an audience and customers. I know Etsy has grown a ton over the years, but at the root of it, that’s what Etsy is to us. We are extremely grateful!! I also loved reading the article to find out more about what being a B Corp means – which Etsy is. I’m proud Etsy is a B Corp and is good to their employees. We’re taking 26 weeks paid maternal and paternal leave! If only all companies were so civil! Thank you Etsy Success and New York Magazine!
Hello! The Today Show stopped by our studio and shared a little of our story on Friday. We had so much fun sharing our experience about becoming moms and keeping the business going while staying home with our girls. Not easy, it’s hard work!
A little story about finding community among small businesses here in NYC and find ways to reduce waste while still keeping things pretty.
We try hard to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. Here is one of the ways we do this – a peek into where the funnest part of our packaging comes from! Thanks Knitty City, Barbara Pinto and the rest of the KC knitters!
One more for today!! Real Simple says we’re one of “The Best Jewelry Shops on Etsy”. Hey, we’ll take it!
We had an amazing studio visit from CNBC. We walked them through our handmade process and talked about Etsy’s new “ASAP” same-day delivery service. We’re giving it a shot!
Big thanks to the CNBC crew, we hope you had a great time here in our tiny studio!
We love Etsy’s new fireside chats — and were honored that Etsy employee Nick mentioned us as his favorite Etsy experience! Check out the vid:

I’m working on a new order of earrings and figured out a more efficient way to drill the bar studs!
The little drilled hole is where I solder each of the posts on. It’s an extra step, but makes the posts way more secure.
Making new business cards for the holidays! When you’re crafty, doing this involves activities such as…
This might be why I’m a metalsmith- I love getting new tools! It’s a dapping block and punch set. I use it to make to make these:

Haven’t posted these new rose gold studs, but will soon… Update: Here they are!
Having fun with new finishes for all my little studs. I’ve been dreaming of plating them in rose or pink gold for a while. Swoon… I wish I’d had these in time for Valentine’s Day! I’ll just pretend I’m 9 months early!
I love the soft matte finish – especially on the bar studs.
Looks like they’re square dancing! “Bow to your partner…”
Don’t mind my hair *wink wink. It was a long cold morning waiting in line outside the studio, but worth the wait!
